Photo Journal: Cave creation
(Mainichi Japan)
Recreations of Paleolithic cave paintings at the French World Heritage site Lascaux are seen on a wall at the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo's Ueno on Oct. 25, 2016, in preparation for an exhibition titled "Lascaux: The Cave Paintings of the Ice Age." The exhibition recreates the caves in France, which now even researchers are unable to enter. It includes paintings reproduced with precision down to less than 1 millimeter. The exhibition, sponsored by The Mainichi Newspapers and other organizations, will run from Nov. 1 to Feb. 19 next year. (Mainichi)
