Photo Journal: Autumn sunbathing

Persimmons are hung like strings of beads at a farmhouse in Koshu, Yamanashi Prefecture, on Nov. 9, 2016, to be sun-dried. The fruits are peeled and smoked, after which they are hung in the sun for about three weeks. They are then kneaded and laid flat for another week in the sun before they are ready to eat. (Mainichi)
