OSAKA -- A test run of the new sign on Osaka's landmark Tsutenkaku Tower, lit up with neon lights and light-emitting diodes, was carried out on Jan. 27.

The sign had been under renovation since the fall of last year, and the lighting is scheduled to resume on Feb. 10. The number of colors used for the sign has increased from six to 12 after the renovation, with each color representing a month of a year.

Starting from Feb. 10, a nightly light show from sundown to 11 p.m. will be held every 15 minutes.
