Photo Journal: Pink Petal Paradise

Visitors point their cameras at Rikugien Garden's famous weeping cherry tree while enjoying a shower of pink petals in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward on April 4, 2017. The garden is a national spot of scenic beauty, with the 15-meter-tall and 20-meter-wide tree quickly becoming the focal point. Rikugien Garden officials say the tree will be in full bloom until around the end of the week. The garden's closing time will be extended from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. until April 6, and the tree will be lit up in the evening for flower enthusiasts. (Mainichi)
