Photo Journal: Raining on the pink parade

People brave the rain to walk under cherry trees at the Japan Mint head office in Osaka's Kita Ward on April 11, 2017, as the site opened to the public for the annual cherry viewing event held through April 17. Some 350 cherry trees of 134 varieties are planted along a 560-meter path between the south and north gates of the mint office. The gates are open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. Admission is free. (Mainichi)
