U.S. consulate, Kumamoto Pref. join hands in YouTube video for disaster recovery

U.S. Consulate Fukuoka and the Kumamoto Prefectural Government have jointly created a video to show support for disaster recovery efforts in Kumamoto Prefecture as April 14 marks the one year anniversary of the Kumamoto Earthquake disaster.

Some 500 U.S. Marines and Air Force members, as well as local residents of Kumamoto Prefecture are seen dancing to the "Kumamon Taiso" exercise routine with the prefecture's popular bear mascot Kumamon in the video, which has been uploaded on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxaWmB9sScE).

Americans living in various areas in Kumamoto Prefecture are also taking part in the video, calling from popular tourist spots such as Aso and Amakusa on people to visit Kumamoto to support disaster recovery.
