KUALA LUMPUR (Kyodo) -- Japanese Crown Prince Naruhito had an exchange on Saturday with around 800 students at a Japanese school in the Malaysian capital Kula Lumpur.
In the afternoon, the crown prince is scheduled to meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak over lunch. He will then tour a tunnel in the capital that was built to address traffic jams and floods. The crown prince is well known for his interest in the research of water management-related issues.
Prince Naruhito has also served as the honorary president of U.N. Secretary General's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation that ended when the group's activities came to an end in 2015.
While in Malaysia, he will also meet with the members of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers and other Japanese expats.
