Members of A-bomb survivors' associations and anti-nuclear weapons groups pose by candles laid out to spell "BAN NUKES NOW 2017," near the A-bomb Dome in Hiroshima's Naka Ward on the evening of June 15, 2017. The display was planned by the groups to coincide with the second round of negotiations on a nuclear arms ban treaty, now underway at United Nations Headquarters in New York, and to express their hopes for an agreement at an early date. A thousand candles were used to spell out the message, which measured about 20 meters across. (Mainichi)
