Photo Journal: Green, gold and going places

The West Japan Railway Co. (JR West) luxury train "Twilight Express Mizukaze" prepares to depart from JR Osaka Station on the morning of June 17, 2017, in Osaka. Fans gathered to catch a glimpse of the deep green train adorned with gold stripes that will carry 31 passengers on a two-day journey through the San-in region along the Sea of Japan coast to Shimonoseki Station in Yamaguchi Prefecture. There are five courses between Osaka-Kyoto and Shimonoseki available ranging from 250,000 to 1,250,000 yen per person, and the company is currently taking reservations from December 2017 to February 2018. The Twilight Express Mizukaze is the latest luxury sleeper train to be unveiled by a JR group company, following the debut of JR Kyushu's "Seven Stars in Kyushu" in 2013 and JR East's "Train Suite Shiki-shima" in May this year.
