Photo Journal: They've got an ink-ling

Students from the calligraphy club teach players from New Zealand's Highlanders super rugby team during a cultural exchange event at Kumagaya girls' high school in Kumagaya, Saitama Prefecture, on Aug. 9, 2017. Thirty players took part in the festivities, learning about tea ceremony and flower arrangement as well as calligraphy. This and other events were held to promote the charms of Kumagaya ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup. The Highlanders were scheduled to face off against the Panasonic Wild Knights at Kumagaya Sports & Culture Park in the "Global Rugby Festa 2017 Saitama Kumagaya" on Aug. 11. (Mainichi)
