Japan's Tomita handed 3-match ban at Women's Rugby World Cup

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Center Makiko Tomita will miss Japan's next three games after being suspended for a dangerous tackle at the Women's Rugby World Cup, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced Sunday.

    Tomita was cited for an infraction during Japan's opening Pool C loss, a 72-14 thumping at the hands of France. Japan's second game will be against hosts Ireland on Sunday evening, while their finale will be against Australia on Thursday.
