Fair Use for Educational Purposes
Educational use of Mainichi copyrighted materials is allowed without seeking permission from The Mainichi Newspapers as long as the number of copies made is appropriate for one class (about 50). However, permission is required and a fee may be charged in the following circumstances:
- The teaching materials using the article in question are saved on a school server.
- Copies of the article are included in school bulletins or posted on the school homepage.
