Ornamental ice blocks with flowers and fruit inside are ready for shipment at Yamane Corp. in Tokyo's Shinagawa Ward. It takes almost a week to make the ice blocks highly transparent, and besides flowers, any water‐insoluble goods － such as toys and clothes － can be frozen inside them, according to the company's president.
