Photo Journal: In flower again

Costumed revelers dance beneath the cherry blossoms in Tomioka, Fukushima Prefecture, on April 8, 2017, during the first Sakura Festival held in the town in seven years. Tomioka was evacuated following the March 2011 meltdowns at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant, leaving the town's famed cherry tree tunnel silent and empty for six springs. However, with the evacuation orders now lifted for most of the municipality, the festival could go ahead once more. In past years, the two-day event has attracted some 100,000 visitors. (Mainichi)
