Princess Aiko, the daughter of Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako, performed on the cello with other students during an event at her school Gakushuin in Tokyo on April 16.

The "All Gakushuin no Tsudoi" gathering at the school's Mejiro campus in Toshima Ward featured a joint musical performance by Gakushuin students and graduates. Princess Aiko, a first-year student at Gakushuin Girls' Senior High School, participated as a graduate of the orchestral music club at Gakushuin Primary School.

Aiko and the other students performed three pieces, including music from Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance."

Crown Princess Masako attended the performance, watching from the second floor.
