HIMEJI, Hyogo -- White lion cubs recently born at a zoo in this city are melting the hearts of animal keepers before they go on public display in early July.
The twin cubs at Himeji Central Park were born on May 22. They have been bottle-fed since 3 days old and now weigh about 2 kilograms each. The zoo will offer special limited tours four times a day between June 10 and 25, except for Wednesdays, where visitors can interact and take photos with the baby lions. Each tour is only available for two groups with up to five people each. The tour fees are 5,000 yen per group. Visit the zoo's website at http://www.central-park.co.jp/enjoy/whitelion_tour2017/ (in Japanese) to make reservations.
