Photo Journal: Cool curtain of water

Visitors walk behind Nabegataki Falls in Oguni, Kumamoto Prefecture, in this recent photo. Referred to by many as "Urami (looking from behind) Falls," Nabegataki Falls is a popular place for people to admire natural scenery from behind the waterfall -- as though peering through a curtain of water. The site is also a great place to cool down in hot weather during the summer and early autumn. Since the start of September this year, approximately 600 people have visited the waterfall on average per day. (Mainichi)
