Photo Journal: On the path to fall

A woman rides a bicycle past a row of golden Ginkgo biloba trees in Fukuoka's Sawara Ward on Oct. 24, 2017. After Typhoon Lan passed the Kyushu region, the cold air in the sky made for the coldest autumn day yet this year. The skies above Fukuoka were clear, and residents were out for strolls to admire the bright yellows from beneath the trees. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency's Fukuoka Regional Headquarters, while a pressure trough will pass through the area bringing clouds this evening, clear fall skies are predicted to continue from Oct. 25.
