Speed skating: Japan completes season sweep in women's team pursuit

MINSK, Belarus (Kyodo) -- Japan won the women's team pursuit on Saturday, the first day of speed skating's World Cup Final to complete a perfect season.

    Japan won all four races in this season's World Cup circuit. Miho Takagi, Ayaka Kikuchi and Ayano Sato, who won Olympic gold at Pyeongchang, South Korea, last month, won in 3 minutes, 0.18 seconds. The Netherlands was second, over 5 seconds behind, with Germany third.

    The fourth member of the Pyeongchang championship team, double Olympic gold medalist Nana Takagi, is not competing here.
