Photo Journal: Colorful restoration

Visitors observe the "Sun of the Underworld," part of the refurbished and restored interior of the "Tower of the Sun," a major artwork by the late Taro Okamoto, in the city of Suita, Osaka Prefecture, on March 19, 2018, after the facility's interior was opened to the public for the first time since 2008. The approximately 70-meter tower and three faces of the sun were built as part of the 1970 Japan World Exposition's theme pavilion. The Osaka Prefectural Government began renovating the interior in 2016. (Mainichi)
