Photo Journal: Rhythm of discontent

Demonstrators are seen in front of the prime minister's office in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward on March 23, 2018, demanding the truth regarding the Finance Ministry's doctoring of documents concerning the heavily discounted sale of state-owned land to school operator Moritomo Gakuen. The protesters also called for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to resign and for his wife Akie to give sworn testimony in the Diet regarding the land deal. Participants held up placards reading "Make politics rational!" and "Be accountable!" and chanted "Speak the truth!" to a rap rhythm. (Mainichi)
