Photo Journal: Tickled pink

Families enjoy fragrant wisteria flowers in full bloom that are lit up at Ashikaga Flower Park in the city of Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, on April 23, 2018. A total of 350 wisterias from 20 species with colors such as pink and yellow, including a 150-year-old large wisteria whose branches stretch out about 35 meters, are at the park. The Ashikaga Flower Park Station on the JR Ryomo Line was newly opened this April near the entrance of the park. The flowers started to bloom 10 days earlier than an average year and can be enjoyed until early May, according to park officials. (Mainichi)
