NASU, Tochigi -- Olivia, a gray parrot at Nasu Animal Kingdom here, has selected Colombia to beat Japan in their opening group stage game at the FIFA World Cup Russia on June 19.

Olivia, 13, has been making World Cup predictions since nine years ago by grabbing with his beak the national flag of his chosen winner or a draw. For the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics soccer tournament, his forecasts were correct five times out of seven, an almost 80 percent accuracy rate.

In the June 18 selection of his fancied victor of Japan's big opening game of the World Cup, Olivia initially took the draw flag in his beak but changed it to the Colombian flag.
