Moderate quake jolts Hiroshima, Shimane prefectures

TOKYO -- A moderate earthquake jolted Hiroshima and Shimane prefectures on June 26, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
The magnitude 4.9 earthquake, which struck at precisely 5 p.m., at a depth of 10 kilometers, measured 4 on the 7-point Japanese seismic intensity scale in eastern Shimane Prefecture and in the north of Hiroshima Prefecture, according to the agency.
The quake posed no threat of a tsunami, the agency said. There were no immediate reports of damage from the temblor.
