A Japanese football club based in the Ehime Prefecture city of Imabari will sell disaster relief T-shirts at its home stadium to support reconstruction of flood-hit areas in western Japan.

FC Imabari will play against Honda FC in the Japan Football League at "Arigato Service Yume Stadium" on Sept. 2. The T-shirt, selling for 2,000 yen, has the letters "EHIME" arranged like the face of a clock in a design by artist Katsuhiko Hibino. The T-shirts are also planned to be sold over the internet.

The event is part of the "YOU ARE NOT ALONE" project that started after the recent torrential rains that hit dozens of municipalities in western Japan.

Profits will be used for recovery assistance in disaster-hit areas. Hibino plans to support reconstruction "until everyone can smile again." The designer pointed out, "It's important to consciously move ahead in everyday life, especially when going through rough times."
