Princess Ayako, the youngest daughter of Emperor Akihito's late cousin Prince Takamado, takes part in a ceremony on the morning of Oct. 26, 2018 to inform imperial ancestors of her departure from the Imperial Family when she marries her 32-year-old commoner fiance Kei Moriya on Oct. 29. The 28-year-old Princess performed the ceremony, titled Kashikodokoro-Koreiden-Shinden-ni-Essuru-no-Gi (Ceremony of worshiping at the Three Palace Sanctuaries in the Imperial Palace), in a traditional hairstyle and attire. The Princess will leave the Imperial Household upon marriage in accordance with the Imperial House Act.
