Photo Journal: Furry fame

(Photo courtesy of Nasu Animal Kingdom)

Male red panda cubs Yosaku, left, and Eisaku are seen after their names were decided at Nasu Animal Kingdom in the town of Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture, in this recent photo. The facility chose the names from about 1,200 public submissions, as they are similar to their father's name Yoichi and mother's name Eiei. Yosaku has dark body hair and the back of his ears are black, while Eisaku has pale body hair. The pair were born on July 15, 2018, and have been on display since Oct. 6. Visitors can see the furry creatures between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on weekdays, and between noon and 2:30 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
