Potted poinsettias are seen in a greenhouse at horticulturist Okubo-Engei in the Tokyo suburban city of Koganei on Dec. 11, 2018. Shipments of the plant are at their peak for Christmas season. While some of the farm's plants didn't grow well due to the hot summer, most of the poinsettias turned their usual vivid red. The plant grower will ship about 5,000 potted poinsettias this year, mainly to Tokyo. Masao Okubo, the 65-year-old owner of the farm, said, "I hope people will enjoy seeing genuine fresh red flowers."
