Photo Journal: Spring newcomer

A lamb sleeps by its mother at the Mother Farm entertainment facility in the city of Futtsu, Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, in this recent photo. It is lambing season at the farm, with 36 baby sheep born there since Feb. 12, 2019, and the barn is filled with the echoes of the little animals' bleats. The farm is open to the public for anyone wishing to see the lambs as they gain their feet. For inquiries, call the farm on 0439-37-3211 (in Japanese).
