Ten-year-old Go prodigy Sumire Nakamura poses with a certificate as a professional player that she received from the Nihon Ki-in (Japan Go Association) at its headquarters in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward on March 26, 2019. As of April 1, Nakamura will be the youngest ever female pro of the traditional board game in Japan. The young star looked somewhat overwhelmed at the ceremony and said, "I want to be a player who succeeds in the world." The association approved 13 young people including Nakamura as professional players and handed them their certificates on the day. They will debut as first-dan rank players.
