Contenders in the office chair racing Isu-1 Grand Prix finals in Hanyu, Saitama Prefecture, north of Tokyo, are seen kicking the ground and advancing backwards along a course in the city center on June 9, 2019. Fifty-six teams from across Japan took part in the event, which attracted large crowds of supporters. Teams in the top division competed to see how many circuits of the 200-meter course they could complete in two hours. The winners were the Kizugawa Unyu team, representing a haulage company in Kyoto Prefecture, with 128 laps. This was the second time Hanyu hosted the race, with the contest itself originating from a town revitalization event started in Kyotanabe, Kyoto Prefecture, in 2010.
