Japan Photo Journal: Hydric hydrangeas

(Mainichi/Kosuke Hino)

People take photos of hydrangeas in full bloom alongside a path running besides Asukayama Park in Tokyo's Kita Ward, on June 10, 2019. Purple, blue and other colors of the flower were at peak bloom on this rainy day. The approximately 1.3-kilometer walking trail called "Asuka no Komichi" connects JR Oji Station and Kyu-Furukawa Gardens via Kaminakazato Station. Around 1,300 hydrangeas line the approximately 350-meter section of the path that runs besides the park.
