Broad dwarf day lilies are seen in bloom at Kirifuri Highland Kisuge-daira Park in the city of Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, north of Tokyo, on July 6, 2019. The park's grassland, spread out over about 10 hectares at altitudes ranging from around 1,300 to 1,600 meters, is one of the largest habitats for yellow lilies in Japan and more than 100,000 people visit there in an average year. The hillside was originally a ski slope, but it was remodeled into a place where people could enjoy nature, with 1,445 hillside steps, and opened to the public in April 2013. The lilies can be enjoyed until the end of this week, according to the park operator.
