A boy leaps into the air while using a ski jumping simulator during a preview event for the Japan Olympic Museum in Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward on Sept. 2, 2019, ahead of its official opening on Sept. 14. The Japanese Olympic Committee built the new facility at the Japan Sport Olympic Square at a cost of about 2.2 billion yen so the public could learn the significance and history of the global event. Items related to past Olympic Games, such as torches, are on display. Visitors can try out various attractions including simulators to compare their performances to that of Olympic athletes. The entrance fee is 500 yen for adults and free for high school students or younger.
