MINE, Yamaguchi -- Two lion cubs born at Akiyoshidai Safari Land in this western Japan city last month have become a hit attraction with visitors.
Mother Nancy gave birth to the twin males on Aug. 14. One of the cubs initially caused concerns among zookeepers as he only weighed 880 grams, but he has grown well after drinking lots of milk.
Families and others visiting the zoo were delighted to see the cubs dozing and playing together.
The facility is asking patrons to submit possible names for the twins and will accept nominations through Sept. 23. After paying a fee, visitors can also touch the cubs until Nov. 4.
