A yellow American school bus that had been used in California until three years ago and has recently been converted into accommodation is seen in the Shiga prefectural capital of Otsu near Kyoto on Sept. 6, 2019, a day before its debut. The unique lodging was built in a bid to meet the needs of foreign tourists by a company that operates a guest house in the city of Kyoto. It's the first such lodging of its type in Japan, according to the firm that operates it. The fee ranges from 48,000 yen per night, including tax.
