KOFU -- The parents of a 7-year-old girl who went missing while at a campsite in the central Japan prefecture of Yamanashi about 10 days ago have released photos of the girl taken on the day she disappeared.

The girl, Misaki Ogura, from Narita, Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, arrived at the campground in the Yamanashi Prefecture village of Doshi on Sept. 21 with her mother, elder sister and friends -- all in a group of 27 people made up of seven families, according to her parents and others.

She went missing after following friends heading to a nearby stream at around 3:40 p.m. on that day.

Misaki is about 125 centimeters tall and slender. The photos her parents released on Oct. 2 show the girl wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, jeans, and green sneakers.

If you have any information about Misaki Ogura's whereabouts, please call Otsuki Police Station at: 0554-22-0110.
