NARA -- The government of this western Japan city on Feb. 17 announced that it has suspended a male employee for six months for pouring a bucket of water over a colleague.
In explaining his actions, the man reportedly told government investigators, "The looks of people in my department toward me were cold so I prepared the bucket (of water) to release my frustrations."
According to the Nara Municipal Government, the 52-year-old employee who worked in a river and farmland maintenance department hurled water over a sitting male colleague in his 20s from behind at an office in the Nara City Hall in August 2019. The aggressor also apparently punched a hole in an office wall and was repeatedly absent from work without notice.
