"The Tower of the Sun" is seen lit in blue to symbolize World Autism Awareness Day, with fireworks launched in the night sky, at the Expo '70 Commemorative Park in the western Japan city of Suita, Osaka Prefecture, on April 2, 2020. The annual event planned by the prefectural government and other organizations was held with fireworks for the first time this year, while a customary lecture about autism was canceled due to the spread of the novel coronavirus. Light-up events were held at about 200 places in the country, including Osaka Castle and Tsutenkaku Tower in Osaka, Tokyo Tower, and Hikone Castle in Shiga Prefecture, western Japan.
