Japan convenience store Lawson shuts customer toilets to prevent coronavirus spread
(Mainichi Japan)
Convenience store chain Lawson Inc. decided on April 28 to close its shop washrooms to customers as part of efforts to halt the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The company will also temporarily prevent customers from using store garbage bins and ashtrays.
It's hoped that suspending services to customers that require store staff to clean up after them will protect Lawson workers as well as those visiting the stores.
