A local train is seen crossing a railroad bridge on a bluff in the city of Hamada, Shimane Prefecture, between Okami and Kamate stations on the JR San-in Line as the sun sets in the background over the Sea of Japan, on May 13, 2020. The bridge, measuring about 52 meters long and 20 meters high, was built in 1923. Most of its aging girders were replaced in November and December last year. The repair work involved jacking as it was impossible to use a large crane at the site.
