Tokyo records 20 new coronavirus cases on June 5 for 5th straight day of double digits

TOKYO -- A total of 20 new cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded in Tokyo on June 5, according to preliminary numbers cited by a Tokyo Metropolitan Government-related figure.

    The new cases mark the fifth day in a row that the number of infections in the capital has reached double digits. On June 1, the capital saw 13 new infections, followed by 34 on June 2, 12 on June 3 and 28 on June 4.
