NAHA -- The family of a U.S. Marine stationed in Japan's southernmost prefecture of Okinawa has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the Marine Corps announced on July 2.

According to the announcement, the family had visited the United States and returned to U.S. Marine Corps Camp McTureous in the Okinawa city of Urayasu on June 19. They have apparently been in isolation since returning to Japan, and have not had contact with anyone from off-base.
