Video News: West Japan steam train to resume trips after 4-month virus shutdown

YAMAGUCHI -- The sightseeing train "Steam Locomotive Yamaguchi" will resume operations on the JR Yamaguchi Line in western Japan from Aug. 1, after over a 4-month shutdown due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

    On July 29, West Japan Railway Co. showed the media the inside of the train's carriages, where measures had been taken against infections, at Shin-Yamaguchi Station in the city of Yamaguchi. The railway operator also made a test run covering about 60 kilometers to Tsuwano Station in the Shimane Prefecture town of Tsuwano.
