Kishi, Abe's younger brother, to be Japan's new defense minister

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Nobuo Kishi, the younger brother of outgoing Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, is set to be appointed as Japan's new defense minister, a senior administration official said Tuesday.

    Kishi, a former senior vice foreign minister, will be part of the new Cabinet to be launched Wednesday by Yoshihide Suga, who is set to be the next prime minister, the official said.
