Mount Fuji is seen widely covered with snow from the Gotemba Municipal Government building on Jan. 25, 2021. Little snow had fallen on Japan's iconic symbol this winter but heavy snowfall hit the highest peak in the country on Jan. 23 and 24. A white Mount Fuji emerged under clear skies on Jan. 25. Due to minimal snow in the area this season, the black mountain surface had stood out, which was different from a typical year, but its familiar wintry scenery finally appeared.
