Osaka Pref. daily coronavirus infections top 900 for 1st time on April 8

OSAKA -- The Osaka Prefectural Government announced a record 905 new coronavirus infections on April 8, exceeding April 7's 878 cases and logging a new high for the third consecutive day.

April 8 marked the first time the west Japan prefecture has exceeded 900 cases in a day. Three more people were also reported to have died from COVID-19.
