Japan's COVID-19 death toll tops 15,000

The number of deaths across Japan caused by COVID-19 topped 15,000 on July 14.

    Over 80% of the deaths have occurred since December 2020, when the "third wave" of coronavirus infections began to reach its peak in Japan.
