TOKYO -- Some 4 million vivid yellow cosmos flowers are in full bloom and carpeting the about 15,000-square-meter "hill of flowers" at a state-run park in western Tokyo.

Showa Kinen Park, situated in the western Tokyo cities of Tachikawa and Akishima, is home to one of the capital region's largest cosmos fields. At present, the early-blooming "Lemon Bright" variety of yellow cosmos are giving visitors a vibrant view.

The flower field and a yellow door set up in the field for people to pose for photos with it were bustling with many families and others on Oct. 11. Yellow cosmos can reportedly be enjoyed until around mid-October.
