TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Fourth favorite Akaitorino Musume finished half a length in front of second favorite Fine Rouge to win the Shuka-sho on Sunday at Hanshin Racecourse.

With jockey Keita Tosaki aboard, the three-year-old took the lead late in the home stretch of the 2,000-meter race, the final event in the Japanese Filly Triple Crown.

"I'm glad to be able to win the last crown race. She made good ground in the straights and was able to run a strong race," Tosaki said.

Third favorite Andvaranaut ran a further half-length back in third, while favorite Sodashi, winner of April's Oka-sho, the first leg of the Triple Crown, faded down the stretch to finish 10th.
